Description
pharmacological group metabolic agent.
Pharmacodynamics
Inosine – a derivative (nucleoside) of purine – a precursor to adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Refers to a group of drugs that regulate metabolic processes.
It has antihypoxic and antiarrhythmic effects. It increases the energy balance of the myocardium, improves coronary circulation and prevents the consequences of intraoperative renal ischemia. It is directly involved in glucose metabolism and promotes the activation of metabolism in hypoxic conditions and in the absence of ATP. It activates the metabolism of pyruvic acid, which is necessary to ensure the normal process of tissue respiration, and also promotes the activation of xanthine dehydrogenase. It stimulates the synthesis of nucleotides, enhances the activity of certain enzymes of the krebs cycle. Penetrating into the cells, it has a positive effect on the metabolic processes in the myocardium – it increases the force of cardiac contractions and promotes a more complete relaxation of the myocardium in the diastole, as a result of which the volume of the stroke increases. The mechanism of antiarrhythmic action is not fully understood.
Reduces platelet aggregation, activates tissue regeneration (especially the myocardium and the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract).
Indications for using Riboxin
In the complex therapy of ischemic heart disease (after myocardial infarction), myocardial dystrophy after infectious disease, heart rhythm disturbances caused by the use of cardiac glycosides.
In the complex therapy of liver diseases (hepatitis, cirrhosis, fatty liver).
During surgery on an isolated kidney as a means of pharmacological protection in case of short-term shutdown of the blood circulation of the operated organ.
Method of administration and dosage of Riboxin
Inosine is administered orally before meals. The daily dose when taken orally in bodybuilding is 1.5 – 2.5 g. In the first days of admission, the daily dose of inosine is 0.6 – 0.8 g – 0.2 g 3 – 4 times a day. If the drug is well tolerated, this dose is increased to 2.5 g. The duration of the course is from 4 weeks to 1.5 – 3 months.
For intravenous drip, a 20 mg/mL solution is diluted in 5% dextrose (glucose) solution or 0.9% sodium chloride solution (up to 250 mL).
Synonyms – Analogs: Inosine, Inosine-F, Riboxin, Riboxin-Vero, Riboksin-Darnitsa, Riboxin-LekT, Riboxin-PNITIA, Riboxin-UVI, Ribonosine.
Riboxin effects
Inosine is a purine derivative, a precursor to adenosine triphosphatic acid (ATP), and is a vital source of energy in bodybuilding.
Inosine stimulates the synthesis of nucleotides, enhances the activity of some enzymes of the krebs cycle.
As a nucleoside, inosine can penetrate cells and increase the energy balance of the myocardium.
Improves coronary circulation and metabolic processes in the myocardium. Riboxin has antihypoxic effect.
Recommendations for the use of Riboxin in sports
- Prevention of metabolic damage (CMD) of the myocardium during extreme physical exertion.
- Myocardial dystrophy on the background of heavy physical exertion.
- Heart rhythm disorders.
- Stress cardiomyopathy.
- Medicinal damage to the liver.
- Liver diseases, acute and chronic hepatitis.
- Peptic ulcer of stomach and duodenum.
